Dr. Johnson has been with the CAS since 1978. Her degree is in Sociology, specializing in substance use and mental health. She is a co-investigator of the Health and Human Development Project, a longitudinal study investigating substance use trajectories and risk and protective moderators and mediators among a community sample of adolescents and young adults. She is currently a principal investigator in the NIDA funded Rutgers Transdisciplinary Prevention Research Center, examining the efficacy of peer led and adult mentoring prevention programming within high schools.
