Retired after 33 years of teaching at William Paterson University. I am very active in my community (hence the title: activist scholar); for example I am president of The New Jersey Association of Criminal Justice Educators,; sit on the board of diectors of the New jersey chapter of the American Corrections Association; Board president of The New Jersey Association on Correction and the YWCA of Eastern Union County (we are the lead DomesticViolence Agency in the county) and serve as the research associate of the Passaic County Juvenile Drug Court; to name just a few of the organizations and activities with which I am affilitated. I have received a number of commendations and honors for my work. Just recently i was honored for my work with women who have been victims of domestic violence; my work with offenders in general and with women in particular and my community service. I was co-founder of the Center for the Study of White American Culture (www.euroamerican.org) and am currently president of the Board of Directors.
