The aim of the Great Migration Project is to create biographies of the roughly five and a half thousand heads of households who immigrated to New England between 1620 and 1640. My work involves the third quarter of the group, those who came from 1636 to 1638. Before moving to a full-time position with the Great Migration project, I was an associate professor in the department of design at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and before that at Bifröst University in Iceland.
