  • Katherine's research interests include medical sociology, professions, knowledge, and science and technology studies. She received her B.A. in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Seton Hall University in 2017 during her time in the occupational therapy dual-degree program. Her work explores how allied health professionals navigate their education and work cultures. In her master's thesis, Katherine analyzes how the organizational support registered nurses receive and their race impact their experience of autonomy while working in US hospitals. Currently, she is working on her second qualifying paper which explores how occupational therapy students learn how to navigate ambiguous clinical scenarios.
