  • Liz’s main areas of interest are cognitive sociology and social classification. Her work explores the social construction of knowledge categories, how individuals and collectives make sense of cognitive ambiguities and dissonance, and the influence of small group culture on processes of meaning-making. She received her B.A. in Sociology with Honors from Pepperdine University and her M.A. in Sociology from Rutgers University.
