The primary focus of Duhui’s research lies in the intersecting fields of political sociology, culture and cognition, and quantitative methodologies. His recent interests revolve around understanding how anti-welfare sentiments and policy attitudes toward welfare state are formulated in individual’s minds, and how public opinion about these issues has changed. He earned B.A. degrees in Political Science and Sociology, as well as an M.A. in Sociology from Seoul National University, South Korea. His master's thesis analyzes the reasons behind the strong opposition to redistributive policy measures among some poor individuals in South Korea. He has worked in a number of different research positions for faculty members, with the outcomes of these projects sponsored by and/or directed towards various government agencies and private organizations.
