Doctoral Student
- Wiktoria Gucia
Wiktoria graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from University College London before pursuing a Master’s degree in Cultural Reporting and Criticism at New York University as a Fulbright Scholar. Her research interests center on immigration, with a particular focus on the experiences of children growing up in families with mixed immigration statuses. At Rutgers, she hopes to explore how these children navigate belonging, identity, and security within their families, schools, and communities in New York City.
Alongside her academic work, Wiktoria has worked as a journalist covering politics and social issues, where she has reported extensively on the effects of immigration policy on undocumented migrants and immigrant communities.
